Billing

The PTBC does not regulate billing and cannot address billing or reimbursement issues. Contact Medicare directly if you have questions concerning Medicare's billing and reimbursement policies and procedures for treatment provided by a physical therapy aides and a physical therapist assistant for Medicare treated patients.

Questions regarding the use of CPT codes and reimbursement are beyond the jurisdiction of the PTBC. Contact the third party payors directly who require the use of specific codes regarding the proper coding for individual interventions. If you are a member of the California Physical Therapy Association, they may be able to provide information regarding the use of billing codes.
